In the Gürpınar district of Van, a mother and her two sons lost their lives in an armed attack at a house they went to in order to resolve a feud. Four people have been detained in connection with the incident, while the gendarmerie has taken extensive security measures in the neighborhood to prevent any new incidents between the parties involved.
In the Gürpınar district of Van, a meeting between two feuding families to make peace turned into an armed attack. In the incident, a mother and her two sons lost their lives, and the gendarmerie detained 4 suspects.
PEACE MEETING TURNED INTO ARMED ATTACK
The incident occurred in the Kırkgeçit neighborhood of Gürpınar. The Aslan and Özcan families, who have had a long-standing feud, came together for a peace meeting.
B.Ö. (70) and his sons S.Ö. (50) and O.Ö. (45) were attacked with firearms at the Aslan family's home. As a result of the gunfire, the mother and her two sons collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood at the scene.
MOTHER AND TWO SONS LOST THEIR LIVES
Upon notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the village. During the examination conducted by the medical teams, it was determined that the mother and her two sons had lost their lives. The bodies were sent to the Van Forensic Medicine Institution.
4 SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY
After the incident, the gendarmerie teams launched an investigation and detained 4 individuals from the Aslan family. While tensions between the two families continue, extensive security measures have been taken at the entrances and exits of the neighborhood to prevent any new incidents in the area.
