The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that a public loss of 154 million 453 thousand lira was identified in 32 service procurements related to the concerts organized by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) between 2021 and 2024.

13 PEOPLE DETAINED

13 people, including former ABB executives and the owners of the organizing company, were detained on charges of "abuse of office" and "manipulating the tender."

"PAYMENTS MADE ABOVE MARKET PRICE"

According to reports from the Ministry of Interior inspectors, the Court of Accounts, MASAK, and expert reports, it was stated that the concert tenders were not open to competition, payments were made above market prices, and some companies operated with fake addresses. MASAK noted that approximately 80% of the fees paid by the municipality remained with the companies, while only 20% reached the artists.

STATEMENT FROM ABB

ABB stated that its own Inspection Board had previously conducted a detailed examination regarding the issue and found no irregularities or public losses. The municipality emphasized that no negative findings were found in the audits conducted by the Court of Accounts.

SOME ARTISTS TO BE INTERVIEWED

According to a report in Sabah, it was learned that some artists who performed concerts would also be interviewed upon the instruction of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office due to inconsistencies related to artist payments included in the expert report.

After the fees paid for concerts and events were revealed, some artists had made statements. Hadise stated that she earned 20 million, not 94 million, Gülşen stated that she earned 8 million, not 78 million, and Kenan Doğulu stated that he earned 7 million lira, not 13.6 million lira. Mor ve Ötesi also stated in their announcement, "We are following the unfounded claims with astonishment. The allegations that we received the mentioned amount of 71 million TL are absolutely false and extremely fantastical."
