President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called Ünal Aykut, the father of Airplane Maintenance Chief Master Sergeant İlker Aykut, who was martyred as a result of the military cargo plane crash in Georgia. Expressing his condolences, Erdoğan said, "They are among the martyrs, neighbors to our Prophet. May their place be in paradise, insha'Allah." The grieving father responded, "May our homeland be safe."
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed his condolences to Ünal Aykut, the father of Airplane Maintenance Chief Master Sergeant İlker Aykut, who was martyred as a result of a military cargo plane crash in Georgia, during a phone call.
PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN CALLED THE MARTYR'S FATHER
Many people are visiting the family of Martyr Aykut, who lives in the Muratlı district of Tekirdağ, to convey their condolences. AK Party Tekirdağ Member of Parliament Mestan Özcan also visited the family. Özcan conveyed his condolences to the martyr's father, Ünal Aykut, and then called President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to connect him with father Aykut.

President Erdoğan, expressing his condolences to the grieving father, said, "May Allah grant patience. Please convey my condolences to the entire family. They are neighbors to our Prophet among the martyrs. May Allah be our helper, and may his place be paradise, insha'Allah."

Father Aykut also stated, "May our homeland be safe. May Allah be pleased with everyone."
