President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a video message to celebrate the Nevruz Festival held in Gaziantep.
"I WISH NEVRUZ BRINGS PEACE TO ALL OF HUMANITY"
In his message, Erdoğan stated:
"My dear nation, my precious brothers and sisters, I greet you with my heartfelt feelings and affection. This year, we are holding the Nevruz Commemoration Day event in Gaziantep, which took place for the first time under our auspices in Istanbul last year.
First of all, I sincerely congratulate the Nevruz day of our brothers and sisters from all corners of our heart and cultural geography. I pray to God that Nevruz, the herald of spring and the symbol of nature's rebirth, brings peace, tranquility, and abundance to our country, our ancient geography, and all of humanity.
"WE GATHER AROUND THE NEVRUZ FIRE AT EVERY CORNER OF THE TURKIC WORLD"
We are very pleased to see that Nevruz, which symbolizes enthusiasm, joy, and unity, has become a symbol of new beginnings not only for our country but also with our neighbors. We gather around the Nevruz fire with the same feelings in all 81 provinces of our country and at every corner of the Turkic world. As a step to strengthen this solidarity, we have made Nevruz a common day for all of us.
"I HEARTILY CONGRATULATE OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS ON NEVRUZ FESTIVAL"
In 2026, we will hopefully host the 13th summit of our Family Council, which will accelerate the current momentum, in Turkey. On this occasion, I wholeheartedly congratulate the Nevruz Festival of all our friends and brothers from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan, from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan, from Turkmenistan to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Hungary, together with our citizens.
"I HOPE THIS MEANINGFUL DAY WILL LEAD TO THE END OF WARS"
I also celebrate the Nevruz of our Iranian brothers who are struggling with the problems caused by war in Syria, Iraq, and these days. I hope this meaningful day will lead to the end of wars in our region. I wish that the spring climate brought by Nevruz brings hope to our hearts, peace to our societies, and tranquility to our world."
