President Erdoğan, recalling Israel's poor track record of not keeping its promises, stated, "They have broken the promises they made under the pretext of Sudan, and unfortunately, they have betrayed the signatures they put down. We are making efforts to ensure that necessary measures are taken so that they do not enter the same wrong path once again. The cost of returning to an environment of genocide will be very heavy."

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who arrived in Rize last night to spend the night at his home in the Güneysu district for the 3-day programs in Rize and Trabzon, attended the mass opening and groundbreaking ceremony today. In his speech, he made statements regarding the ceasefire in Gaza.
First of all, Erdoğan conveyed his "Get well soon" wishes to his fellow citizens due to the flood disaster that occurred in Rize on September 20-21, stating that the damage assessment works of the disaster, which saw 355 kg of rainfall per square meter, have been completed. Erdoğan said, "Our government is doing and will do what is necessary to heal the wounds. May God protect our country from all kinds of disasters."
"FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 2 YEARS, SMILES RETURNED TO GAZA" Recalling that they received good news from Egypt yesterday that delighted all of us, all Muslims, and indeed all people of conscience, Erdoğan continued his speech as follows:
"An agreement has been reached in the negotiations between Hamas and the Israeli government. For the first time in two years, smiles returned to Gaza. People flooded the streets not in fear but in joy. The happiness of our Palestinian brothers has also made us happy. The smiles blooming on the faces of the children have warmed our hearts. Especially seeing our brothers from Gaza prostrating in gratitude took us to a very different emotional world. We are very pleased that Gaza will be able to breathe again after two years of oppression. From the very first day, we have been one of the countries that contributed the most to this process. The main agenda of our contacts in New York and Washington was to stop the bloodshed in Gaza. We had a very productive and sincere meeting with the American President Mr. Trump there. Then I sent our MIT President to Doha and our Foreign Minister to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. We held comprehensive talks with Hamas. We talked with brother countries in the region, especially Qatar and Egypt. In other words, we have done everything we can to bring peace, tranquility, and security to Gaza as soon as possible. We mobilized all our resources, intelligence, diplomats, and institutions to ensure that not a single more innocent person dies. As a result, an agreement was signed, and the doors to a permanent peace in Gaza have been opened."
"WE WILL PUT OUR HANDS UNDER THE STONE" Emphasizing the importance of this development, President Erdoğan said, "Despite all the difficulties, we find this very important. Because we say that no more blood should be shed. We say that children should not die of hunger. We say that Palestinian mothers should not hold their babies in white shrouds. Everything we do is solely for this purpose. We have no desire other than peace, stability, and the establishment of tranquility in our region. What is important from now on is the strict implementation of the agreement. God willing, we will put our hands under the stone during the implementation process as well. We will quickly deliver the humanitarian aid on our ships waiting at Egypt's El-Arish Port to Gaza. The more aid we can deliver to the people of Gaza before the weather gets cold, the better job we will have done." he said.
"WE MUST AVOID SABOTAGES" Erdoğan continued his remarks: "We are certainly aware of Israel's poor record of not keeping its promises. They have broken their promises under various pretexts and unfortunately betrayed the signatures they have given. We are making efforts to ensure that they do not enter the same wrong path again. After two years of heavy bombardment, there is a great deal of destruction and rubble in Gaza. Whatever is our responsibility in removing these and rebuilding Gaza, we will fulfill it, God willing. I want to emphasize this clearly. The cost of returning to an environment of genocide will be very heavy. Our region, especially Gaza, has had enough of blood, massacre, and tears. An opportunity for peace must be given. Sabotages must be avoided. Just as we have always stood by the people of Gaza in the struggle and negotiation processes, we will continue to support our Palestinian brothers with all our means. I respectfully greet my brothers from Gaza who have resisted oppression with their teeth and nails for two years. I pray for God's mercy on all our brothers who fell as martyrs in the Gaza resistance, and I wish a speedy recovery to our injured brothers."
PALESTINIANS ON THE ROAD TO RETURN TO GAZA Meanwhile, with the ceasefire coming into effect in the Gaza Strip, thousands of Palestinians have started to return from the south of the Gaza Strip to the north. Palestinians are using Rashid Street, which connects the central and southern regions of Gaza to the north, on their way back.
TRUCKS LOADED WITH FOOD ENTERED GAZA STRIP Food and fruit-laden trucks belonging to Palestinian traders have entered the Gaza Strip through Salahaddin Street, located south of the Netzarim Corridor.
