With the ceasefire beginning in Gaza, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have started to return from south to north. The region is experiencing dynamic moments.
After the Israeli army announced a partial withdrawal of its soldiers from the occupied areas in Gaza and that the ceasefire would take effect at 12:00 local time, Palestinians who had to migrate to the south of the Gaza Strip are returning to their homes, which have become "rubble," in the city of Gaza. On their way back, Palestinians are using the Rashid and Salahaddin streets, which allow passage from the central and southern regions of Gaza to the north.
TRUCKS LOADED WITH FOOD ENTERED THE REGION
While the return journey continues, trucks loaded with food and fruit belonging to Palestinian merchants have also entered the Gaza Strip through Salahaddin street, located south of the Netzarim Corridor.
ARMY SPOKESPERSON: DO NOT APPROACH ISRAELI FORCES IN THE REGION
On the other hand, Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichay Adraee shared some restrictions regarding the ceasefire that took effect at 12:00 in the Gaza Strip. Adraee stated, "According to the agreement, Israeli soldiers will continue to remain stationed in certain areas of the Gaza Strip," and warned against approaching Israeli forces in the region until a second announcement. The Israeli spokesperson emphasized that otherwise, Palestinians could face "danger."
"PASSAGE FROM CERTAIN AREAS HAS BEEN ALLOWED"
Adraee reported that "passages from the south of the Gaza Strip to the north have been allowed through Rashid and Salahaddin streets," and threatened that "approaching the areas of Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahiya, and Shujaiyya in the north of the Gaza Strip, as well as the areas where soldiers are stationed, is extremely dangerous." Adraee noted that "approaching all military areas in Rafah Border Gate and the Philadelphi Corridor region in the south of the Gaza Strip is very dangerous."
Adraee also warned about fishing and swimming, stating that "approaching Israeli territories and buffer zones is extremely dangerous."
