In response to the news titled "Şimşek's partner will be pierced by 4 billion" from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, a statement was made saying, "Presenting it as 'the minister's partner' is a deliberate smear attempt."
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance issued a written statement regarding news targeting Minister Mehmet Şimşek. The statement indicated that the allegations against Şimşek do not reflect the truth and expressed that the news in question is an attempt to create a misleading perception in the public.
"FORCED NEWS AIMING TO CREATE PERCEPTION"
Reminding that necessary information regarding the same issue had been provided before, the Ministry stated in its announcement that legal processes would be initiated and included the following statements:
"The news titled “Şimşek's partner will be worth 4 billion” announced on the front page of Sözcü Newspaper today is a forced news that aims to create perception with its writing style.
"PARTNERSHIP BEFORE MINISTRY DUTY"
The partnership established for the renovation of a 163 square meter apartment in London in 2021, when our Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mr. Mehmet Şimşek, did not hold the ministerial position, is a conscious smear attempt by associating it with every tender the individual has won and presenting it as “the Minister's partner.”
Serving such news using the name and photos of our esteemed Minister over a topic that has been explained multiple times before is an attempt to mislead the public. All our legal rights regarding this news will be exercised."
