Derin Talu, who asked for CVs from potential partners on TikTok, drew reactions on social media. Facing criticism for "looking for a rich husband," the Talu siblings made a statement on Instagram saying they are not interested in marriage. Derin Talu responded to the claims by saying, "If we wanted to, we would get married; all of Turkey is sending me their CVs."
At just 21 years old, Derin Talu quickly gained significant attention with the videos she shared on her newly opened TikTok account. In her posts, the young phenomenon explained the criteria she looks for in a man she would consider for a relationship, humorously asking her suitors to send their CVs. With this call, she received both supportive and critical comments on social media. Following these posts, some social media users accused the Talu sisters of "hunting for rich husbands." In response to the comments, the two sisters published a joint video on their Instagram accounts addressing the allegations.
"I FIND MARRIAGE ABSURD"
In the video they published, Deren Talu openly expressed her thoughts on marriage, saying: "We receive comments like 'rich husband hunters' and 'you want to get married' on our posts. We have no such desire or need. I do not think about marriage and I find it absurd," she stated.
"ALL OF TURKEY IS SENDING ME CVs"
Derin Talu stated, "Our parents went through a very bad divorce process, and we were greatly affected. That's why marriage has not left a good impression on us. We have never seen a marriage that we envied in our lives. If we both wanted to, we could get married," she expressed. Derin Talu also added, "If we both wanted to, we could get married. All of Turkey is sending me CVs; couldn't I find a rich husband?"
