In that speech, Netanyahu also categorized Iraq among "enemy countries."

During a speech at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took to the podium holding a map. The map highlighted countries that Israel designates as "enemies" in red. Notably, this list included Iran, Syria, Yemen, and also Iraq.

In his speech, which was met with protests from participants at the UN General Assembly session, Netanyahu stated that if there were an attack on Israel, they would eliminate the leaders of the militias (Shia) in Iraq, asserting that Tel Aviv has succeeded in deterring these militias.

According to Iraq's official news agency INA, Iraq's Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein referred to Netanyahu's statements, stating that Baghdad rejects any threats targeting its sovereignty and the safety of its citizens. Hussein said, "Any attack on an Iraqi is considered an attack on all of Iraq."
