Claims have emerged that autistic children at a private care center operating in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, were starved, made to walk around naked, physically abused, and that a disabled individual lost their life due to severe neglect. The ministry announced that it has decided to shut down the center.
The horrifying allegations raised against a private care center in Istanbul have shocked the public. According to reports in the media, autistic children at the center are being starved, made to walk around naked, beaten, and even forced to eat each other's feces. Allegedly, one of the disabled individuals who was subjected to violence has lost their life.
STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY
The Ministry of Family and Social Services issued a written statement following the allegations. The statement indicated that an urgent inspection was initiated by the provincial directorate after reports related to the center.
It was emphasized that the employment contracts of negligent personnel have been terminated and a criminal complaint has been filed against them with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
PRIVATE CARE CENTER CLOSED
The ministry stated, "A decision has been made to close the aforementioned private care center. The disabled individuals remaining here have begun to be transferred to different centers."
The statement also noted that the ministry would personally intervene in the legal process and that the process would be meticulously followed to ensure that those responsible receive the harshest penalties.
