A collective bargaining agreement signed at an automotive factory operating in the Çayırova district of Kocaeli has resulted in a significant increase in workers' salaries. With a 100% raise, along with bonuses and social benefits, the monthly net income of the workers has risen to 95,000 TL, providing employees with a substantial economic gain before the new year.
In the Çayırova district of Kocaeli, collective bargaining negotiations between the United Metal Workers Union and the employer at an automotive factory concluded with an agreement. The new contract includes significant gains for the workers employed at the factory.
WITH A 100% RAISE, NET INCOME REACHED 95 THOUSAND TL
According to the agreement, when considering wages, bonuses, and regularly paid social rights, the monthly net income of the workers has reached 95 thousand TL. After the 100% raise, when average wages and bonuses are evaluated together, the monthly net earnings were realized at the level of 83 thousand TL.
SOCIAL RIGHTS INCREASED INCOME
Under the contract, tax exemptions, fuel assistance, and similar social payments that are regularly paid to workers each month were also added to the total income. Thanks to these items, the monthly net earnings of the workers significantly increased.

In a statement regarding the matter, the union expressed, "Our collective agreement here was signed with the determined stance, approval, and very high level of satisfaction of our members. Thus; in the factory where all wages and social rights are paid net, the average net wage and bonus together reached 83 thousand, and when the regularly paid tax exemptions, fuel, etc. payments are added, it has been realized as 95 thousand net. We thank all our teams who contributed, especially our members."
