The legendary actor of Yeşilçam, Selim Soydan, confessed during a live broadcast that he used to gamble and stated that his wife, Hülya Koçyiğit, is the greatest luck he has ever had. SELİM SOYDAN COULDN'T HOLD BACK HIS TEARS
Selim Soydan, one of the beloved figures of the sports community, shared that he had a bad habit of gambling in the early years of his marriage with Koçyiğit and that he turned away from this mistake thanks to Koçyiğit, while he couldn't control his tears. Soydan recounted the memory he experienced with the following words:
"Soydan, who also explained the mistake he made; We got married, a year passed, one day after 12 o'clock every evening newspapers were published in Taksim, and I would go and buy them. One night at 3:30 AM, I was late, and unfortunately, I came out of a casino with Kamil abi, who is a Galatasaray fan. I took the newspapers in my hand and entered my house. I took the key to go inside, and the door opened from the inside. I saw Hülya. I said, 'What's up, you haven't slept?' She said, 'I made your soup, and you can drink tea and sleep.' I am guilty, it's 3:30 AM. I am thinking, 'Why is she silent, why isn't she saying anything to me?' I ate my food, we drank tea, and still no sound. Now listen very carefully to this part. I said, 'I am guilty, I am at fault, why aren't you saying anything to me?' She said a couple of words to me. 'One day you will understand your mistake,' she said. I turned to her and said, 'I promise you. Thank goodness you didn't fight with me today. Thank goodness you didn't talk.' But I said, 'Know this very well, from now on I will not take a piece of paper in my hand.' I haven't taken a piece of paper in my hand for 50 years. She was very right."
