The young girl started working as a waitress at the Grand Kartal Hotel 1.5 months ago. During the fire, Şahin, who was on the staff floor, jumped from the 12th-floor window and was seriously injured.

It was learned that Şevval Şahin video-called her father Erdal Şahin, who runs a business in Bartın, during the fire. It was revealed that she made the decision to jump from the window while talking to her father on a video call.

Şahin's treatment continues in the intensive care unit of Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Training and Research Hospital.
