US President Donald Trump claimed that the Democratic Party illegally paid millions of dollars to some famous names like Beyonce and Oprah after last year's presidential elections, arguing that these artists "should be prosecuted."
Trump alleged in a post on the Truth Social platform that the Democrats paid singer Beyonce 11 million dollars and television star Oprah Winfrey 3 million dollars to gain support during the election campaign.
Claiming that the famous individuals received millions of dollars without providing any concrete contribution, Trump stated, "These payments were improperly recorded in books and records. Paying for support is completely illegal. This situation cannot be covered up." Trump also targeted his opponent, Democrat Kamala Harris, saying, "Kamala and everyone who received support payments broke the law. They all should be prosecuted."
In the presidential elections in the US on November 5, 2024, artists like Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Wonder performed in the campaign of the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. Additionally, figures like Oprah Winfrey and Beyonce also participated in the campaign, expressing their support for Harris.
