In the context of the 'money counting' footage and 'City Consensus' investigations within the CHP, a detention order was issued for 106 suspects, including Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) President Ekrem İmamoğlu, Murat Ongun, Tuncay Yılmaz, Fatih Keleş, Ertan Yıldız, Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, and IBB Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat.

"I DO NOT APPROVE OF THE INTERVENTION, I CANNOT REMAIN SILENT"

While the repercussions of the incident continue, a notable evaluation came from the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who was presiding over the session in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). Önder stated that he does not find İmamoğlu's detention to be correct and that he will not remain silent about it. He said, "No intervention in the field of democratic politics has ever brought any benefit to either the perpetrator or those who encourage it in our recent political history. Such engineering efforts may seem rational on paper, but when faced with the entity called the public, the results are usually irrational for those who intend it. My personal stance is in favor of the expansion of the democratic nature of the Republic, the expansion and liberation of the democratic political sphere. I cannot approve, remain silent, or stand by any intervention in this regard. I want to express my political stance in this way."
