Considering the three-month period ending on June 29 as the third quarter of the 2025 fiscal year, the American coffee chain Starbucks published its balance sheet.
GLOBAL SALES PLUMMETED
Accordingly, Starbucks' global comparable store sales decreased by 2% during the relevant period. The company's comparable store sales also recorded a 2% decline in North America and the U.S. Meanwhile, Starbucks' international comparable store sales remained flat, while sales in China increased by 2%.
The coffee chain's revenue rose to $9.5 billion in the three-month period ending June 29, marking a 3.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
PROFIT MARGIN DROPPED BY 47%
The company's profit, however, fell by 47.1% to $558.3 million during the same period. The coffee chain's earnings per share also decreased by 47.3% compared to the same period last year, dropping to 49 cents.
Starbucks, one of the companies facing protests and boycott campaigns due to Israel's attacks on Gaza, reported a decline in global sales for the sixth consecutive quarter.
