STATEMENT FROM MINISTER YERLİKAYA
A private business jet that took off from Ankara Esenboğa Airport lost radar connection. It was learned that communication with the aircraft was lost immediately after takeoff, and a statement came from Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya. Yerlikaya stated that the Chief of General Staff of Libya was on board the aircraft.
In his statement, Yerlikaya said: "At 20:10 this evening, a Falcon 50 type business jet with tail number 9H-DFJ took off from Ankara Esenboğa Airport heading to Tripoli, and contact was lost at 20:52. An emergency landing notification was received from the aircraft near Haymana; however, contact with the aircraft could not be reestablished afterwards.
