Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made a statement regarding the business jet that lost radar connection after taking off from Esenboğa. Yerlikaya stated, "An emergency landing notification was received from the aircraft near Haymana; however, contact with the plane could not be reestablished afterwards. There are five passengers on board, including the Chief of General Staff of Libya, General Muhammad Ali Ahmed AL-Haddad."
