Striking claim regarding the mysterious incident in the USA: They are searching for a nuclear warhead.

In recent weeks, mysterious drones that have been spotted in the states of New Jersey and New York are claimed to be searching for radioactive material that has gone missing during transportation. Another claim is that the drones are looking for a nuclear warhead that has been secretly smuggled into the country.

The "mysterious" drones that started in New Jersey and have been seen in New York and other neighboring states in recent weeks continue to occupy the country's agenda.

PART OF THE GOVERNMENT'S OPERATION

Michael Melham, the mayor of Belleville, New Jersey, stated in an interview with local TV channel Fox 5 that the drones flying at night are part of the government's operation to search for radioactive material that was reported missing at the beginning of the month.

Melham said, "There is currently a warning about missing radioactive material in New Jersey. There was a shipment on December 2, it arrived at its destination, but the container was damaged and empty. So, potentially, we are looking for it."

"THESE DRONES ARE VERY LARGE"

Melham noted that an "unprecedented briefing" was held last week with mayors and state council members in New Jersey regarding this issue, stating, "We know for sure that these are not aliens or a foreign enemy because they could have figured out how to turn off the blinking lights. These drones are very large."

Melham expressed that officials have provided "very little information" about the drones seen across the state, saying, "Since then, no information has been given, and I think this lack of transparency does nothing but fuel online conspiracy theories."

On the other hand, the New Jersey Department of Energy, the Department of Environmental Protection, and relevant authorities rejected the claims made by Melham in statements to the media.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission had issued a warning at the beginning of the month that medical equipment containing nuclear materials used in cancer screenings was "lost during transport" after being sent for disposal from the Nazha Cancer Center in Newfield on December 2.

CLAIM OF A NUCLEAR WARHEAD SECRETLY SMUGGLED IN

On the other hand, John Ferguson, the founder of Saxon Unmanned, a company based in Kansas that supplies cutting-edge drones to the U.S. military, raised the belief that a nuclear warhead secretly smuggled into the U.S. is being searched for with the drones.

Ferguson recalled in a TikTok post that has been viewed millions of times that there are about 80 nuclear warheads missing since the post-Cold War period in Ukraine, stating, "The only reason they are flying so low at night is that they are trying to smell something on the ground."

Ferguson noted that the drones can be equipped with "special sensors capable of detecting radioactive material," suggesting that the U.S. government is using a nighttime drone fleet to "smell" a radiation source on the ground.

MYSTERIOUS DRONE DISCUSSIONS IN THE U.S.

The "mysterious" drone sightings, first observed on November 18 over Morris and Somerset counties in New Jersey, have also begun to appear in New York and its surroundings, causing concern as they were shared on social media for some time.

Witnesses stated that the drones were the size of a bicycle or a small car, and due to the detection of a drone over former President Donald Trump's golf course in New Jersey, authorities imposed restrictions on flights in the area due to the possibility of an attack.

While the White House stated that there is no evidence that the "mysterious" drones pose a "security threat," Pentagon Deputy Spokesperson Sabrina Singh also said regarding the claims that the drones were launched from an Iranian ship near the U.S. East Coast, "There is no truth to this."

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated in a joint written statement released yesterday that, as a result of technical examinations of the complaints received, "no abnormality was detected in the drone incidents" and that they do not pose a risk to national security or public safety.

Donald Trump stated at a press conference held at Mar-a-Lago, "Our soldiers know where these drones take off and land, the President knows, but for some reason they are not commenting, leaving the public in doubt; they need to make a statement."
