"WE ARE HAVING A GOOD PERIOD"
Speaking about the ongoing camp in Antalya, Orkun said, "The camp is intense. We are doing double training sessions. By training well, we are having a good period as a team. We play games in the rooms with friends, we spend time together."
"BEŞİKTAŞ IS NOT IN CHAOS"
The national star stated that they are not in chaos and that the problems will be solved, saying, "There is an incredible chaos in Turkey compared to other countries. A player coming from Europe initially struggles a lot. My thought is that the team and the club should not be in chaos. If I take Beşiktaş as an example, we do not have such chaos. Results could be better, but we are not in chaos. Results are not always good, which is a bit of a problem. We are working hard now, and if we can solve the results, we will be better."
'IT WAS MY WORST DAY'
Speaking about the match against Fenerbahçe where he received a red card, Orkun made sincere confessions, saying, "The Fenerbahçe match was the worst, the day I was most upset. I was overly ambitious in that match. I had a goal and an assist in that match; if I hadn't received the red card, the result would have been very different. That's why I was upset; we were 2-0 ahead. Normally, I am not someone who would fall into that situation. I am not someone who makes such moves in defense. I was overly ambitious, I got carried away there."
'I STRUGGLED A LOT FOR A FEW DAYS'
Continuing his words, the star player said, "After the match, the locker room... Very difficult. Very difficult. I shouldn't say this. I struggled a lot for a few days. I worried about it. For 2-3 days, I didn't talk about anything. I knew it was very bad right away. I turned off my phone and everything. That period was good in a way; you see who your friends are in such times. My family was by my side. My father stayed with me for a week. That's how I managed to get through it. You feel sad, but in the end, it's football. It shouldn't happen, but it does in football. A week later, we went to the national team, which was also good. I went to the match against Spain to respond to that and performed well. I performed better compared to the period before the red card; there was an improvement."
