More than 100,000 people marched in Berlin, the capital of Germany, in response to Israel's massacre in Gaza and Germany's support for the Netanyahu government. Protesters chanting slogans such as "Freedom for Palestine" and "Stop the massacre in Gaza" demanded that Germany immediately halt its arms exports to Israel.

More than 100,000 people marched in Berlin, the capital of Germany, to support Palestine. Organized by approximately 50 organizations, the march was held under the theme "All Eyes on Gaza" to protest Israel's attacks on Palestinian territories.

THEY MARCHED TO GROSSER STERN SQUARE

Medico International spokesperson Timo Dorsch stated in an interview with the German media that more than 100,000 people participated in the march. More than 100,000 people gathered in front of the State Chancellery and marched to Grosser Stern Square, one of Berlin's symbols, passing in front of the Federal Parliament.

"EU SHOULD IMPOSE SANCTIONS ON ISRAEL"

The protesters demanded that Germany immediately halt arms exports to Israel, ensure humanitarian access to Gaza, and that the European Union (EU) impose sanctions on Israel.

"ISRAEL BOMBS, GERMANY FINANCES"

During the march, slogans such as "Freedom for Palestine," "Long live Palestine," and "Israel bombs, Germany finances" were chanted, and banners reading "Stop the massacre in Gaza," "No to genocide," and "Stop Israel" were displayed. The demonstrators were warned not to display symbols of banned organizations and not to chant slogans that could provoke police intervention.

"THEY REMAIN SILENT ON GENOCIDE"

Ines Schwerdtner, Co-Chair of the Left Party, stated in a speech before the march that Israel's genocide in Gaza and the German government's complicity should be highlighted, saying, "The Chancellor and ministers talk but do not take action. While hospitals are turning to rubble, they speak of state intelligence. They remain silent on genocide and are complicit."

Jewish musician Michael Barenboim also stated in an interview with the German media, "The slogan 'All Eyes on Gaza' aims to make the protest against the genocide in Gaza visible on the streets." Barenboim expressed that those supporting Ukraine are welcomed positively, while those supporting Palestine face immediate political resistance and smear campaigns.
