Minister Işıkhan's Exciting Minimum Wage Message After Meeting with TÜRK-İŞ President

As part of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission's efforts to establish the minimum wage figure to be applied in 2026, the second meeting will be held today. Before the meeting, the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, met with TÜRK-İŞ President Ergün Atalay. After the meeting, Minister Işıkhan stated, "I believe we will reach a consensus." Meanwhile, the second meeting regarding the minimum wage has begun.

The process of determining the new minimum wage, which directly concerns 7 million employees and indirectly affects the entire society, continues.

2. ECONOMIC DATA WILL BE SHARED IN THE MEETING

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, will hold its second meeting today at 14:00, following its first meeting on December 12. In the meeting chaired by General Director of Labor Oğuz Tuncay, representatives from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Ministry of Trade, and the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) will share economic data and reports with the commission.

TÜRK-İŞ WILL NOT ATTEND THE MEETING

On the other hand, it is expected that the TÜRK-İŞ delegation, which did not attend the first meeting due to the lack of changes in the commission's structure, will also not participate in the second meeting today.
