                    Tense moments occurred outside the courtroom after 11 defendants, including hotel owner Halit Ergül, were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment following the Grand Kartal Hotel disaster in Bolu, which claimed the lives of 78 people. The brother of firefighter İrfan Acar, who received an aggravated life sentence, shouted as he exited the courtroom. In the Grand Kartal Hotel disaster in Bolu, where 78 people, including 34 children, lost their lives, a verdict has been reached. Hotel owner Halit Ergül, Emine Ergül, Emir Aras, Elif Aras, Ceyda Hacıbekiroğlu, Zeki Yılmaz, Kadir Özdemir, Ahmet Demir, Sedat Gülener, Kenan Coşkun, and İrfan Acar were sentenced to 34 life sentences for the 34 children who lost their lives, and 44 life sentences for the other deceased individuals. No reductions were applied to the sentences.

After the announcement of the verdict, tense moments occurred in front of the courtroom. İrfan Acar's brother, who was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for conducting inspections at the hotel, shouted and exited the courtroom. Acar's brother was removed from the area by police teams.
