In recent days, tensions between the PKK/YPG and the government in Syria have been escalating. In an area where clashes occasionally occur, the PKK/YPG terrorist organization has detained 11 Syrian soldiers who entered a checkpoint.

Tensions are escalating between the PKK/YPG terrorist organization, which uses the name SDG in Syria, and the Damascus government. Recently, a government official emphasized that they will never accept the PKK/YPG's call for an independent identity, stating that it contradicts the principle of citizenship. The Syrian official stated that they will not accept the PKK/YPG's desire to join as a block without fully integrating into the national army. Following this statement, a significant development occurred.

11 SOLDIERS TAKEN HOSTAGE

According to information from Syrian security sources, PKK/YPG terrorists in the Deir Hafir region, located south of the Manbij district of Aleppo, took 11 soldiers of the Syrian army hostage after they lost their way and entered a checkpoint.

CLASHES BETWEEN THE SYRIAN ARMY AND YPG

On the other hand, clashes occasionally occur between the Syrian army and the PKK/YPG in the rural areas of Deir Hafir. The PKK/YPG terrorist organization had transported terrorists and weapons from the Raqqa province, which it occupies, to the Deir Hafir line during clashes that broke out in the southern province of Sweida.

SYRIA'S WARNING TO PKK/YPG

Additionally, a Syrian government official speaking to the state television El-İhbariyye stated that they will not accept the PKK/YPG's desire to join as a block without fully integrating into the national army.

Regarding the integration talks about the northeastern part of the country between the Damascus government and the PKK/YPG terrorist organization, the Syrian government official emphasized "national unity." The official stated that calls for an "independent identity" contradict the principle of citizenship and cannot be accepted under any circumstances, stressing that such demands are considered separatist calls.

The official expressed that the Syrian state will not accept any rhetoric that undermines national unity or is based on threats, stating that national dialogue should be conducted based on full commitment to the unity of the country, not through the use of force or reliance on foreign powers.

"THEY CANNOT JOIN THE ARMY AS A MILITARY BLOCK"

The official emphasized that they categorically reject the rhetoric of "not laying down arms" and joining the unified national army as a "military block," stating that such approaches clearly contradict the spirit of establishing a common army.

The official pointed out that the Syrian government has indicated that the only way to achieve a lasting political solution is through a return under the umbrella of the state and within the framework of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, stating, "This can only be achieved through unconditional, threat-free, and sincere national dialogue."
