The singer Teoman admitted that he has not been able to overcome his mother's years of being a rock star. The famous singer said, "When I became a singer, my mother was sad and ashamed of it for years. She still doesn't like what I do and doesn't think it suits me."

"Shattered", "The Death of Zampara", "The Cup Girl and the Fly Valet" are among the important names of Turkish rock music, Teoman, made sincere confessions on many topics from his childhood years to his career, from family relationships to daily life in the "Empathy" program hosted by Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan.

"I WANTED TO BE A ROCK STAR LIKE ELVIS PRESLEY"

Teoman, who stated that he lost his father when he was only 2 years old, expressed that he grew up without a male figure in his childhood. The artist, who said he filled this void with comic book heroes and music icons, mentioned that the male figures were Zagor and Elvis Presley. Teoman said, "You grow up as a timid child. The lack of a reassuring father creates stress in a person. At the age of 12-13, I decided to be a rock star like Elvis Presley and I told my surroundings about it."

"MY MOTHER WAS ASHAMED OF MY WORK FOR YEARS"

Touching on his relationship with his mother, Teoman said, "My mother is 93 years old and she still hasn't gotten over it. She always thought that I would have a better status in society when she heard from my teachers that I was a smart, well-behaved child. When I became a singer, she was sad and ashamed of it for years. She still doesn't like what I do and doesn't think it suits me. But now she is happy because her friends say, 'Oh, we love Teoman so much.' Finally, I was able to make her happy."

"I CALL MYSELF 'CAFE MAN'"

Teoman, who made sincere statements about his daily life, defined himself as a "cafe man." He stated that he goes to the cafe early in the morning, does not spend time in the kitchen, and usually eats out, adding that he only uses his home as a place to host guests for work discussions.

"MY HOUSE IS NOT A MATURE PERSON'S HOUSE AT ALL"

Expressing that the arrangement of his house is unconventional, Teoman said, "My house is not a mature person's house at all. There is no dining table, but there is a punching bag. Someone who doesn't know that this place belongs to me might think it's a teenager's house."

"I AM VERY ORGANIZED"

Emphasizing that he leads a very organized life, Teoman said he separates his books by topics and even organizes his socks by type. The artist stated that he prepares reading lists for himself every day, expressing that this discipline is an important part of his life.
