With the regulation prepared by the AK Party to combat youth unemployment, it is planned to provide wage and premium support for up to 6 months for the employment of young people aged 18-25, while the goal is to integrate approximately 5 million young people into education and working life.

The AK Party is working on a new legal regulation that concerns millions in the fight against youth unemployment. It has been learned that the proposal prepared within the scope of the "Youth Employment Initiative" announced by President Erdoğan in January has reached its final stage.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR MORE THAN 3 MILLION YOUNG PEOPLE

According to the news on NTV, the regulation aims to integrate more than 3 million young people into the workforce within 3 years, especially targeting the direct employment of young people aged 18-25. The study, which covers approximately 5 million young people, plans to include those who are not in education or employment in the production process.

THEY WILL BE INCLUDED IN EDUCATION PROGRAMS

The new model will be "education and employment" focused. Accordingly, young people will first be enrolled in training programs suitable for their skills, and then directed to areas needed in the labor market. Fields such as software, data analysis, and digital marketing will be prioritized.

SUPPORT FOR EMPLOYERS

Significant support will also be provided to employers under the proposal. If young people aged 18-25 are hired, wage and premium support will be provided to be covered by the Unemployment Fund. The support will be implemented for a maximum of 6 months, covering the entire salary and premiums up to the minimum wage per person.

MEETINGS HAVE INCREASED

Comprehensive meetings have been held between bureaucrats and members of parliament from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Ministry of Family and Social Services, and İŞKUR for the regulation.
