Nazmiye Esen, a 45-year-old security guard, choked on a piece of apple while eating at home in Zonguldak and passed away in the hospital.
In Zonguldak, Nazmiye Esen (45), a security officer working at the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, died at the hospital after a piece of apple got stuck in her trachea at her home.
FAINTED WHILE EATING APPLE AT HOME
The incident occurred yesterday evening in the Karaelmas neighborhood. While eating apples at home with her husband, a piece of apple got stuck in Nazmiye Esen's trachea. Her husband called for medical assistance as Esen struggled to breathe.
UNABLE TO BE SAVED AT THE HOSPITAL
After the initial intervention by the medical team that arrived at the scene, Esen was taken to Atatürk State Hospital, where she was treated. However, despite all the efforts of the doctors, she could not be saved. It was learned that the piece of apple had blocked Esen's trachea.
WILL BE BURIED AFTER THE CEREMONY
It was stated that Nazmiye Esen, who worked as a security officer at the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, would be buried in Kozlu district after the ceremony to be held in front of the institution this afternoon.
