An artist and former HDP parliamentary candidate, Pınar Aydınlar, has been subjected to a terrorism investigation due to her statements saying, "It's not Tunceli, it's Dersim for us." Aydınlar, who was taken into custody, had displayed a poster of Seyit Rıza at a concert in the Yenikapı Event Area.
Artist Pınar Aydınlar was detained as part of an investigation initiated due to the opening of a Seyit Rıza poster and the expressions she used during the "Tunceli Cultural Meetings" program held at the Yenikapı Event Area.
OPENED SEYIT RIZA'S POSTER
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an ex officio investigation against Pınar Aydınlar for "praising the crime and the criminal" due to her opening of Seyit Rıza's poster and the expressions she used during the "Tunceli Cultural Meetings" program.
MADE A "I WAS DETAINED" POST
Artist Aydınlar shared a post on her social media account stating, "I was detained." Aydınlar's lawyer Bişar Abdi Alınak stated in a press release, "We see the investigation in question not as a criminal procedure but as the overzealousness of a prosecutor who uses their duty as a tool for political vendetta; we emphasize that banning the commemoration of a value cherished by millions of people under the threat of punishment is a futile effort. We share our expectation with the public that the investigation against our client will be concluded by fulfilling the requirements of the law, and we respectfully express our hope to see the days when the judiciary is free from the influence of politics."
