The identity of the attacker who carried out the school shooting in Canada has been revealed. The attacker, who killed 9 people including his mother and stepbrother, has been identified as 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar. The police stated, "I can say that Jesse was biologically born male but began the transition to female about 6 years ago and identifies as a woman."

IDENTITY OF THE ATTACKER REVEALED
According to reports in the foreign press, the police announced that the attacker, who killed a teacher, 5 students aged between 12-13, his mother, and his 11-year-old stepbrother, is 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar, who left the school about 4 years ago. Authorities stated that Jesse was biologically born male, began the gender transition process about 6 years ago, and identifies as female in both social and public spheres.

Deputy Chief of Police McDonald said, "I can say that Jesse was biologically born male, but began the transition process to womanhood about six years ago and identifies as female in both social and public spheres." McDonald also expressed that there was no information regarding any bullying Jesse faced at school due to the transition process.
KILLED HIS MOTHER AND STEP-BROTHER AS WELL
Police officer Vanessa Munn announced that a 39-year-old female teacher, three female students, and two male students lost their lives in the attack. Munn stated that the female students were 12 years old, and the male students were aged 12-13. It was reported that the attacker also killed his 39-year-old mother and his 11-year-old stepbrother.
Authorities also revealed that police had previously conducted several raids at Jesse's home due to psychological issues.
MURDER AT HOME, THEN ATTACK AT SCHOOL
Canadian police stated that they believe the attacker first killed his mother and stepbrother at a house in Tumbler Ridge and then went to the middle school armed.
Police responded to a report of an armed attack at Tumbler Ridge Middle School at 2:20 PM local time (4:20 PM Eastern Time) on Tuesday. Alarms began to sound in the school around 2:30 PM, and the school administration ordered the building to be locked down and classroom doors to be secured.
A student recounted that he and his classmates barricaded the classroom door with desks to protect themselves inside.
Authorities reported that the investigation is ongoing and that all details of the incident are being clarified.
