The claims of "forbidden relationship" and "threat" expressed by a law school student regarding Adapazarı Mayor Mutlu Işıksu have resonated widely in the city. Following the allegations, Mayor Işıksu filed a lawsuit for 50 million TL in damages against the 22-year-old law student.

A program with wide participation was organized in Sakarya to explain the functioning of the Public Ombudsman Institution and to examine the disputes between the administration and citizens on-site. Public Chief Ombudsman Mehmet Akarca, auditors, and the provincial protocol attended the meeting where citizens' complaints and requests were heard.

In the question-and-answer section, a 22-year-old law student made striking allegations about Adapazarı Mayor Mutlu Işıksu. The young man claimed that his mother had a special relationship with the mayor, stating, "My mother works at the municipality, and I witnessed something wrong regarding the mayor because of that. I received a lot of threats because of this. Later, when this issue was going to be taken to court, I was offered money through our lawyer. Since I rejected this, the mayor filed a criminal complaint against me for 'blackmail.' Subsequently, he filed a lawsuit against me for 50 million in moral damages. 50 MILLION TL COMPENSATION LAWSUIT

Mutlu Işıksu, who is at the center of the allegations, described the statements as "baseless" and "character assassination." Işıksu announced that he had filed a 50 million TL moral compensation lawsuit against the law student.

"FAKE ACCOUNT" DEFENSE

Mayor Işıksu claimed that he was blackmailed through fake social media correspondence. He alleged that he was demanded 40 million lira, otherwise he would be threatened with the end of his political career.
