In the first half of the Trendyol Super League, the team that received the most cards was Gaziantep FK, while Trabzonspor received the least cards in the league. In this section of the file prepared by Anadolu Agency after the end of the first half of the Trendyol Super League, the card report was discussed.

During the 17-match period in the league, referees issued a total of 714 cards, with 676 yellow cards and 38 red cards. The Super League team that faced the most cards from referees was Gaziantep FK. The red-black team received 50 yellow cards and 3 red cards in the 17-match segment of the first half.

Following Gaziantep FK, which is at the top of the list of teams receiving the most cards with 50 yellow cards and 3 red cards, is Çaykur Rizespor with 46 yellow cards and 1 red card, while Zecorner Kayserispor ranks third with 44 yellow cards and 2 red cards. Players wearing jerseys in the league received yellow cards mostly for unsportsmanlike conduct, while objections to the referee were also one of the main reasons for the cards.

Continuous violations of the rules, delays in restarting the game, warning gestures from the bench, and failure to maintain the necessary distance when the game restarts were also among the reasons referees resorted to cards.

THE PEAK IN YELLOW CARDS BELONGS TO EMIRHAN TOPÇU

The most aggressive player of the first half was Emirhan Topçu from Beşiktaş. The black-and-white player received 7 yellow cards in the 13 matches he played in the league and left his team short in 1 match, reaching the penalty limit with his last card. Following Emirhan Topçu are Arda Kızıldağ from Gaziantep FK, Samet Akaydın from Çaykur Rizespor, Show from Kocaelispor, and Uğurcan Yazğılı from Konyaspor, each with 6 yellow cards.

A TOTAL OF 58, A MINIMUM OF 34 CARDS WERE ISSUED

Week 9 of the league recorded the highest number of cards shown in the first half with 58 cards. Referees issued yellow cards 57 times and showed a red card once during that week. Weeks 10 and 13 were periods when referees resorted to fewer cards. In these weeks, a total of 34 cards were issued, of which 6 were red cards.

THE LEAST CARDS WENT TO TRABZONSPOR

In the first half of the league, Trabzonspor players received the least cards. The burgundy-blue team's players faced 28 yellow cards and were sent off 3 times with red cards.

THE RED CARD RECORD BELONGS TO GENÇLERBİRLİĞİ

The record for red cards in the first half of the league belongs to Gençlerbirliği. Although referees expelled the players of the capital representative with red cards 5 times, Gençlerbirliği was among the teams that received the least yellow cards in the league with 30 yellow cards.

Following Gençlerbirliği with 4 red cards is Göztepe, while Gaziantep FK, Beşiktaş, RAMS Başakşehir, and Trabzonspor each received 3 red cards.

Eyüpspor and Corendon Alanyaspor players did not receive any red cards, concluding the first half of the season. Of the 38 red cards shown in the first half of the league, 18 were shown for a second yellow card, while 10 players were expelled for serious fouls. Referees also resorted to red cards for reasons such as violent actions, preventing an obvious goal-scoring opportunity with a foul requiring a free kick or penalty, aggressive, insulting, or profane speech and gestures, and hand movements.

THE RED CARD LEADERS ARE ORKUN AND THALISSON

Beşiktaş's star player Orkun Kökçü was one of the two players who received the most red cards in the first half. The black-and-white player left his team short with the red cards he received in the matches against RAMS Başakşehir and Fenerbahçe, sharing the top spot with Gençlerbirliği player Thalisson Kelven.
