According to the weekly data from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), foreign exchange reserves increased in the week ending July 25. Total reserves rose by $3.2 billion in the last week, reaching $171.8 billion. Net reserves also showed an increase of $1.6 billion. The reserves, which have been rising continuously for the last five weeks, are seen as a sign of confidence in economic circles.

TOTAL RESERVES INCREASED
Gold reserves decreased from 85 billion 266 million dollars to 85 billion 222.5 million dollars. Thus, total reserves increased from 168 billion 569 million dollars to 171 billion 847.5 million dollars.
Net international reserves, which were 62 billion 799 million dollars the previous week, increased by 1 billion 650.7 million dollars to reach 64 billion 450 million dollars in the relevant week.
