The transfer of Ciner Media Group, which includes broadcasting organizations such as Show TV, Habertürk, and Bloomberg HT, to the Can Group has been approved by the Competition Authority. The Park Group, which has decided to terminate its media investments, is transferring all of its shares in Ciner Media Group to the Can Group.
The Park Group announced that it would focus on the mining sector, withdrawing from the media industry, which has been its main area of activity. The transfer agreement was signed with the Can Group, which also owns educational institutions such as Bilgi University and Doğa College. It was emphasized in the statements made that this change would bring a new breath to the media sector.
CINER GROUP TRANSFERRED TO CAN GROUP
According to Ekol Tv's news, the Competition Authority approved the transfer process in question. After the transfer transactions, Can Group's media investments will be managed by Mehmet Kenan Tekdağ. In a statement, Can Group said, "We thank the Park Group for its esteemed business approach. Our investments in the media sector will be managed solely by Mr. Mehmet Kenan Tekdağ, Chairman of the Board of Ciner Broadcasting Holding," it was stated. With this development, the management of Ciner Broadcasting Holding, one of Turkey's leading media organizations, has passed to Can Group.
