The largest social housing initiative in the history of the Republic, within the scope of the Century Housing Project, will see the construction of 500,000 homes across 81 provinces, with applications closing on December 19. Following the end of the application process for this record-breaking project, the draws to determine the rightful owners will begin on December 29 and continue until February 27.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, applications for the Century Housing Project, which will enable low-income citizens to own homes under suitable conditions, coordinated by the Ministry and carried out by the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ), started on November 10 in 81 provinces.
APPLICATIONS END ON DECEMBER 19, DRAWINGS START ON DECEMBER 29
Applications for 500 thousand social housing planned considering the housing demand of cities, population density, and economic structure will end on December 18 via e-Government, and on December 19 via Ziraat Bank, Halk Bank, and Emlak Participation Bank. The draws that will determine the rights holders will start on December 29 and continue until February 27.
PAYMENT PLANS
Within the campaign launched with the slogan "Homeowner Turkey," houses will be offered for sale with a 10% down payment and payment options up to 240 months. 40% of the houses, that is, 200 thousand, will consist of 80 square meter 2+1 apartments. 30%, or 150 thousand, will be 65 square meter 2+1 apartments, and the remaining 150 thousand will be 55 square meter 1+1 apartments.
The prices and installment amounts of the houses will vary in Istanbul and Anatolian provinces. In Anatolia, 1+1 apartments will be sold for 1 million 800 thousand lira, 65 square meter 2+1s for 2 million 200 thousand lira, and 80 square meter 2+1s for 2 million 650 thousand lira. The installments for 1+1 apartments in Anatolia will be 6 thousand 750 lira. The installments for 65 square meter 2+1s will be 8 thousand 250 lira, and for 80 square meter 2+1s, it will be set at 9 thousand 938 lira.
In Istanbul, 1+1 apartments will be sold for 1 million 950 thousand lira, 65 square meter 2+1s for 2 million 450 thousand lira, and 80 square meter 2+1s for 2 million 950 thousand lira. The installments for 1+1 apartments in Istanbul will be 7 thousand 313 lira, for 65 square meter 2+1s it will be 9 thousand 188 lira, and for 80 square meter 2+1s it will be set at 11 thousand 63 lira.
QUOTAS
5% of the rights holders will be families of martyrs and veterans, 5% will be disabled individuals, 20% will be retirees, 10% will be families with three or more children, 20% will be young people aged 18-30, and the remaining 40% will consist of other buyers.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Those who are 18 years old and have been citizens of the Republic of Turkey for the last 10 years will be able to benefit from the campaign. The household's monthly net income must not exceed 145 thousand lira for Istanbul and 127 thousand lira for other provinces. Families of martyrs and veterans will be exempt from this condition.
In the places where applications will be made (if in the province, in the province; if in the district, in the district; if in the town, in the town), it will be required to have resided for at least 1 year according to the address-based registration system during the application period.
For retirees and provinces affected by earthquakes, a population registration or at least 1 year of residence will be required. Those applying in the "families of martyrs, veterans, and duty-related disabled" category must have resided in the project province for at least 3 years.
Applicants (including their spouse and children) must not have a registered independent residence in the title deed and/or (excluding families of martyrs and veterans) a contract with TOKİ. In shared property titles, citizens whose share of the property does not exceed 1 million lira will be able to apply.
