In the Dilovası district of Kocaeli, the death toll from the cosmetic factory fire that occurred on November 8 has risen to 7. Worker Tuncay Yıldız, who was seriously injured in the fire, could not be saved despite the interventions and passed away. As part of the investigation launched into the incident, 7 people, including the business owner K.O., have been arrested.
While the investigation into the fire disaster that occurred on November 8 in the Dilovası district of Kocaeli continues, the toll has become even heavier.
WORKER IN INTENSIVE CARE PASSES AWAY
After the fire that broke out at the factory on Mimar Sinan Street in Mimar Sinan Neighborhood, Tuncay Yıldız, one of the workers who was severely injured and taken to Kocaeli City Hospital, could not be saved despite the interventions in intensive care. With Yıldız's death, the number of people who lost their lives in the fire has risen to 7.
3 OF THE DECEASED WERE YOUNG
In the fire that broke out on November 8 at the factory where perfume filling was done in Dilovası, Tuğba Taşdemir (17) and her cousin Nisanur Taşdemir (15), Cansu Esetoğlu (15), Hanım Gülek (52), Esma Gikan (31), and Şengül Yılmaz (59) lost their lives, and 7 people were injured.
7 PEOPLE ARRESTED
As part of the investigation launched regarding the incident, K. O., the owner of the workplace, was caught while preparing to flee with a bag full of money after a search warrant was issued against him. Among the 11 suspects detained, 7 people, including K.O., were arrested, while Dilovası Deputy Mayor N.T., Zoning Director N.B., and municipal police personnel C.T., Ö.K., and T.I. were suspended from their duties.
