In the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that former AKUT President Nasuh Mahruki acted with the intention of creating concern, fear, or panic among the public through the expressions he used in his social media posts.
It was expressed in the indictment that there was a public element due to his public sharing on social media and the possibility of being seen by a large number of people, and considering the content of the posts and the number of views, the act was assessed as capable of disturbing public peace.
In the indictment, it was requested that Mahruki be punished with imprisonment of 1 to 3 years for the crime of "publicly disseminating misleading information," and it was also noted that an investigation was being conducted against him for the crime of "publicly insulting the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the state's judicial bodies."
