The U.S. House of Representatives voted on a bill that forces the Department of Justice to release files related to the case of American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The files reportedly mention Trump's name, and the bill was passed with a vote of 427 to 1, sending it to the Senate. If the bill is also approved in the Senate, it will require the signature of President Trump.

The U.S. House of Representatives approved a bill that mandates the release of the Epstein files and sent it to the Senate.

EPSTEIN BILL PASSED IN THE U.S.

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill that envisions the public disclosure of all files related to billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while being tried for allegedly running a prostitution ring involving underage girls.

In the vote on the "Epstein Files Transparency Act" in the U.S. House of Representatives, 427 members voted "yes," while only one member voted "no." With this result, the first step in Congress towards the long-awaited release of the Epstein files to the American public has been taken.

WILL BECOME LAW IF TRUMP SIGNS

This step in the Republican-majority Congress is noteworthy as it comes after U.S. President Donald Trump "changed his mind about the public disclosure of the files." The next stop for the bill to become law will be the U.S. Senate. If it is also approved in the Senate, the bill will be sent to the White House, where it will become law if signed by U.S. President Donald Trump.

The bill envisions the public disclosure of all Jeffrey Epstein files under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Justice.

THE JEFFREY EPSTEIN CASE

Epstein, who was charged with sexually abusing dozens of girls under the age of 18, including the youngest being 14, and running a prostitution ring, was found dead in his cell at the New York Manhattan Metropolitan Correctional Center on August 10, 2019.

The disclosed Epstein case files included famous names such as Prince Andrew, U.S. President Donald Trump, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, actor Kevin Spacey, singer Michael Jackson, illusionist David Copperfield, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.

The FBI also stated that, following an investigation with the U.S. Department of Justice, there was no evidence of a "client list" involving famous individuals, and it concluded that Epstein, who was alleged to have been murdered to cover up the crimes of individuals including government officials, celebrities, and businesspeople, actually committed suicide in his cell.

U.S. journalist Tucker Carlson also claimed that Epstein "worked for Israel, that everyone in Washington thought the same way, but it could not be said openly."

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that Epstein's girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell had asked acquaintances to write letters to him on the occasion of his 50th birthday, one of which was allegedly from Trump.
