SPECIAL TEAM ESTABLISHED
As part of the investigation initiated by the Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a special team was established within the Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Smuggling and Organized Crime Prevention (KOM) and the Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT).
REQUESTED MONEY BY ESTABLISHING EMOTIONAL CONNECTION
In Yakalı's examined mobile phone, it was determined that he had established an emotional connection with a woman named İ.G. before his suicide and that they had been in frequent contact by phone. Following this, technical and physical surveillance was initiated. As a result of the investigations, it was found that İ.G. had gained the victim's trust by establishing an emotional connection, introduced herself as an engineer working at the Highways Regional Directorate, and claimed to be experiencing financial difficulties, thus obtaining money from Yakalı.
COLLECTED 2 MILLION LIRA FROM 6 PEOPLE AND PURCHASED CRYPTOCURRENCY
In a detailed examination, it was determined that the suspect İ.G. had also obtained money from 6 individuals, including police officers, healthcare personnel, and those working in the private sector, by establishing a connection in the same manner. Investigations revealed that the suspect had earned approximately 2 million lira through this method, sent the money to her spouse S.G., who then transferred it to the cryptocurrency market.
SUSPECTED WOMAN ARRESTED, SPOUSE UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
In a morning operation, İ.G. and her spouse S.G. were taken into custody. During searches conducted at the suspects' homes, 8 mobile phones, 1 tablet, 1 laptop, and 4 SIM cards were seized. After their procedures at the prosecutor's office, the suspects were referred to the court for arrest in the morning. In her statement at the court, S.G. said that she was aware that the money sent to her came from a friend of her husband. While İ.G. was arrested for 'fraud', her spouse S.G. was released under judicial control.
