Ali Meşe (93), known for the photo in which he is seen crying while holding his cat in front of his house that was rendered unusable in a fire that broke out 8 years ago in the Mudurnu district of Bolu, has passed away.
THAT FRAME HAD A DEEP IMPACT ON EVERYONE
A fire broke out in the house of Ali Meşe, who lived in the village of Ordular in the Mudurnu district, while he was trying to light the stove with gasoline on January 17, 2018. The wooden house where Ali Meşe lived with his wife, disabled son, and cat was burned and rendered unusable. The photo of Ali Meşe with his cat in his arms in front of the burning house deeply affected everyone.

The then Presidential Spokesperson Ibrahim Kalın had also shared the photo that became a topic in Turkey and around the world on social media, announcing that help would be provided to Ali Meşe. Subsequently, Ali Meşe received a new home four months after the fire with the contributions of the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Policies and philanthropists.
HE IS NO LONGER ALIVE
Ali Meşe, who is remembered as 'Ali Dede', passed away yesterday at the age of 93 in the hospital where he was receiving treatment due to age-related illnesses. It was learned that Meşe's funeral would be buried after the funeral prayer to be held in the village of Ordular following the afternoon prayer.
