Famous actress Hande Erçel, who has been issued a detention order in the new wave of operations related to the drug investigation involving celebrities, has made a statement. Erçel, who stated that she is abroad for her education, said she would return to Turkey to give her testimony. The famous actress said, "I am someone who loves my country and trusts my state and Turkish justice. I believe that the situation will be clarified as soon as possible."

A wide-ranging drug investigation based in Istanbul has led to detention orders for 14 individuals, including famous businesspeople and artists. A warrant for the arrest of renowned actress Hande Erçel, who has been identified as being abroad, has been issued as part of the operation. Hande Erçel has made her first statement regarding the matter. 

HANDE ERÇEL'S FIRST STATEMENT

Hande Erçel stated that she learned about the arrest warrant from news reports and said she would return to Turkey to give her statement. In her statement, Erçel expressed the following: 

"I have been abroad for about a month due to my education. Last night, like you, I learned about the issue from the news, and I will return to my country to clarify the matter, make the necessary statements, and give my testimony. I am someone who loves my country and trusts my state and Turkish justice. I believe that the situation will be clarified as soon as possible."

14 SUSPECTS DETAINED

As part of the 'drug' investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office targeting celebrities; former Beşiktaş President Fikret Orman and former Galatasaray President Burak Elmas were detained by the Istanbul Narcotic Crimes Investigation Department teams. It has been learned that detention orders have been issued for 16 suspects, including businessman Hakan Sabancı, Kerim Sabancı, actress Hande Erçel, model Didem Soydan, and presenter Güzide Duran. In a simultaneous operation, 14 suspects were detained, while an arrest warrant was issued for 2 suspects.
