After the tragic incident in Balıkesir, father Murat Sevilen, who was taken into custody, confessed during his initial statement at the police station that he killed his daughter by strangling her with his hands because he suspected that she wanted to go to her friend's birthday party and had a boyfriend.
In Gönen district of Balıkesir, 18-year-old Eylem Sevilen was killed by her father Murat Sevilen after an argument. The first statement of the murderer father, who confessed to the incident and was arrested, has emerged.
According to the information received, the police started an investigation after Hafize Sevilen, who lives in Karşıyaka Neighborhood on 4016 Street, reported that her daughter Eylem Sevilen (18) did not come home during the day. Then, when another relative of the family reported that Sevilen was lying motionless on the couch in her house, the teams found Sevilen there. The body of Eylem Sevilen, who was determined to have lost her life after the examinations, was sent to the morgue of Gönen State Hospital after the investigations.

Suspect father Murat Sevilen (44) was taken into custody regarding the incident. It was learned that in his first statement at the police station, Father Sevilen confessed that he strangled his daughter with his hands because he suspected that she wanted to go to her friend's birthday party and had a boyfriend. After the procedures, the suspect Sevilen was arrested by the duty judge he was referred to the courthouse.
