The imam father of social media influencer Kübra Karaaslan, who committed suicide by jumping from the Osmangazi Bridge, spoke for the first time after his daughter's suicide. Osman Şevket Karaarslan reportedly said to those around him, "I told my daughter many times that it was wrong for her to go live on TikTok and dance in front of men; I made a lot of effort to correct her. But she did not listen to me. It seems this was her fate."
Social media phenomenon Kübra Karaaslan (21), who recently closed all her accounts, jumped off the railing of the Osmangazi Bridge in the Altınova area of Yalova on Monday.
DIED IN HOSPITAL
After those who saw Karaaslan fall into the shipyard reported the incident, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Karaaslan, who was taken to Yalova Altınova State Hospital, lost her life. After the autopsy procedures, Karaaslan's body was brought to Istanbul and was buried in the Kayabaşı Cemetery in Başakşehir, Istanbul, following the funeral prayer held in Ümraniye.

Meanwhile, the moments when Kübra Karaaslan jumped off the bridge were captured on a citizen's cell phone camera. In the footage shared on social media, it was seen that Karaaslan suddenly let herself go while citizens were trying to convince her.

It has emerged that the young phenomenon is the daughter of Osman Şevket Karaarslan, the Imam of Hz. Yusuf Mosque in Ümraniye.
