The bodies of Major Sinan Taştekin, who was martyred in the helicopter that fell into the sea in Qatar, and ASELSAN technicians Süleyman Cemre Kahraman and İsmail Enes Can were sent off to Turkey. A photo taken during the funeral prayer held in Doha sparked controversy.
As a result of the helicopter that was conducting training activities within the Qatar-Turkey Joint Force Command crashing, Air Defense Major Sinan Taştekin and ASELSAN technicians Süleyman Cemre Kahraman and İsmail Enes Can were martyred.
A CEREMONY WAS HELD IN DOHA
A funeral prayer was held for the martyrs at the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque in Doha. The ceremony was attended by the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, as well as state officials and Turkey's Ambassador to Doha. During the funeral prayer, prayers were made for the Turkish and Qatari personnel who lost their lives in the helicopter that crashed in Qatar's territorial waters during their duties.

The placing of the bodies on the ground without using a coffin during the funeral prayer held inside the mosque in Qatar caused discussions on social media. Some considered this practice disrespectful to the martyrs, while others argued that it is a tradition in Qatar and that their own martyrs are also honored in the same way, claiming that the criticisms are unfounded.
