M.Ç. said, "I was inwardly angry with my sisters Elmas and Hatun Çakmakcı, who stood by the villagers. I wanted them not to go to the villagers who were against me and to stand by me. Elmas and Hatun Çakmakcı were constantly going to the people who did not want me. I warned them, but I was angry because they did not listen to me. On the day of the incident, I saw Elmas and Hatun working in front of their house. I suddenly got angry and lost control. I took my pistol, which is referred to as a '14-shot' gun, and went to Hatun Çakmakcı's house. As I approached, I fired at her chest, and she collapsed. Then I went to Elmas Çakmakcı's house. When I entered through the open door, Elmas Çakmakcı ran into the room. I followed her and fired without saying anything. After that, I left the house. There was no one with me at the time of the incident. I did not receive help from anyone," he said.
