The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an investigation regarding the detention of 28 Turkish citizens by Israel, taking into account the regulations in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, under the charges of "Qualified Robbery," "Damage to Property," and "Torture."

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office also initiated an ex officio investigation regarding the attack.
