In Argentina's Cordoba province, Security Minister Juan Pablo Quinteros personally tested the electric shock glove that the police plan to use live on air, and he fell to his knees due to the effect of the current.
Quinteros tested the glove called "G.L.O.V.E CD3," which produces low-voltage electric current and was developed by the provincial police to incapacitate criminals, on himself live on air. Quinteros fell to his knees due to the effect of the current.
"UNBEARABLE"
Quinteros, who stated that he felt a severe electric shock because he actively used the glove, said, "It's unbearable. I had seen it in videos, but you feel a very strong electric discharge that spreads from the human hand to the shoulder, as if ten thousand kitchen lighters are hitting you at the same time. So much so that you can't exert power over anything else."
"IT MAY WORK OR IT MAY NOT"
Quinteros shared that he had never experienced anything like the experience he had after being exposed to the electric current, stating, "It may work or it may not. The equipment given to the police to perform their duties on the street needs to be tested."
New equipment for the police was also showcased at the event. This included ballistic helmets, pepper spray, and other less-lethal weapons. The glove, however, was the most striking piece among the new technological gear. Officials stated that the product is still in the testing phase.
