The Ministry of National Education stated in a statement to TV100 Main News regarding registration fees in schools, "There is no situation that would require any parent to discuss with the school administration regarding registration fees. The Ministry of National Education, responding to claims that registration fees are being charged in schools, stated, "If there is a negative situation as claimed, they should share it with us."
The Ministry of National Education made a statement regarding registration fees on the program "Main News" with Kübra Par, which aired on tv100.
"THIS DOES NOT MEAN IT IS THE CASE FOR EVERYONE"
In its statement, the Ministry of National Education said, "Of course, some individual cases are unacceptable and necessary actions are being taken. In fact, on Friday, the principal and vice-principal were dismissed for not preparing the school in time for education due to a similar incident in Ankara. However, in a massive structure with 1.2 million teachers, 18 million students, 75 thousand schools, and 750 thousand classrooms, the occurrence of a few does not mean it is the case for everyone," they stated.
"WE HAVE REPEATEDLY SHARED THAT REGISTRATION FEES WILL NOT BE COLLECTED"
The Ministry also used the following expressions in its statement: "Furthermore, as the Ministry and our esteemed Minister, we have repeatedly shared with the public that no registration fees will be collected under any name, and we included this in Article 17 of our general directive for the preparation of the academic year. There is no need for any parent to discuss a situation regarding registration fees with the school administration, as students are automatically registered to the school. Still, we stated that if a negative situation occurs as claimed, they should share it with us."
