Turkey will play an active role in the international task force that will monitor the ceasefire established between Hamas and Israel in Gaza. This structure, which will include Turkish soldiers, will be formed with the participation of different countries, and Turkey will be involved in areas such as humanitarian aid, casualty assessment, and monitoring the ceasefire.

Turkey will play an active role in the international task force that will monitor the ceasefire established between Hamas and Israel in Gaza. This move is described as Turkey's return to Palestine after 105 years and is considered a new chapter.

As the details of the structure to be formed with the participation of different countries begin to clarify, it has been stated that Turkey will take part in areas such as humanitarian aid, identification of casualties, and monitoring the ceasefire during this process.

According to information obtained from Yeni Şafak, the ceasefire process will be carried out within the framework of a three-phase plan. This structure, which will include Turkey, will primarily consist of civilian elements; however, a certain degree of military personnel will also be involved in the process.

THREE-PHASE CEASEFIRE PLAN: HUMANITARIAN, POLITICAL, AND MILITARY

Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt will lead the task force to be established after the ceasefire in Gaza.

The humanitarian section, which constitutes the first phase of the plan, includes the opening of aid corridors, delivering aid to Gaza, repairing infrastructure, debris removal operations, and locating missing bodies.

In the political phase, the establishment of a new governance mechanism called the "Gaza International Transition Authority" (GITA) is on the agenda. It has been suggested that the U.S. wants to appoint former British Prime Minister Tony Blair to head this structure, while Turkey is said to be approaching this name and structure cautiously and is working on an alternative political model proposal.

MILITARY OVERSIGHT OPTION OF UN OR NATO

The final phase of the plan focuses on the military oversight process.

In this context, steps are planned to be taken within the framework of the United Nations (UN) or NATO if a potential security initiative is needed. It is stated that Turkey will be involved in all three phases, particularly playing an active role in civilian coordination and military oversight processes.

Turkey's previous experience in UN Peacekeeping operations is also cited as an important reference for this new task force.
