Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the case regarding the discovery of an unidentified female corpse in a cave in the Çermik district of Diyarbakır in 2015 has been solved by JASAT teams after 10 years. M.B., who was identified as the perpetrator of the murder, has been apprehended and brought to justice.

A WOMAN'S BODY FOUND IN A CAVE



Sharing information about the operations, Minister Yerlikaya stated: "On August 9, 2015, a woman's body was found in a cave in the Çermik district of Diyarbakır, but her identity could not be determined.



MURDER SOLVED 10 YEARS LATER



As a result of the studies conducted, it was determined that the victim's identity was G.B. Following this, exactly 10 years later, our JASAT teams pursued the perpetrator of this murder again using new methods. It was identified that a male individual named M.B. committed the murder. He was caught and handed over to justice.



CHILLING MURDER SOLVED 18 YEARS LATER



On April 3, 2007, a male body was found in the Gönen Stream in the Bandırma District. However, no suspects could be reached from the existing evidence.



As part of the investigation; in 2025, a special team was formed to re-examine the case. As a result of meticulous work lasting approximately 6 months, 6 suspects were placed under technical and physical surveillance. One suspect identified as the perpetrator of the murder was captured by our JASAT teams.

In Şanlıurfa; our Gendarmerie Detectives, who caught the perpetrator of baby Zehra without giving up for 11 years, and the killers of the unnamed baby in Bingöl 25 years later, have now captured the perpetrators of the murder committed in Diyarbakır and the male body found in the Gönen Stream in Balıkesir.



During this cabinet term, our Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Teams (JASAT) have captured a total of 103 individuals wanted for over 10 years!
