The mystery surrounding the incident in which a police officer killed five members of his family has been unveiled.

The police officer in Tarsus, Mersin, who held his wife and her family responsible for the suicide of his 15-year-old son Ökkeş Berk Tehçi a year ago, killed 5 people.

HE STRANGLED SOME AND STABBED OTHERS TO DEATH

Mehmet Tehçi, a patrol police officer in Tarsus, Mersin, picked up his teacher brother-in-law İsmail Tehçi from a tutoring center in Adana this morning and took him to a rural area in Kabasakal Neighborhood, where he killed him. After returning to Tarsus, the suspect strangled his wife Ferdane Tehçi (37) to death and then drove to Adana. Upon arriving at his father-in-law's house in Adana, Mehmet Tehçi also slit the throats of his father-in-law Yusuf Tehçi and mother-in-law Hüsne Tehçi, who were at the breakfast table. He ended the life of his sister-in-law Semiha Tehçi by stabbing her in the heart.

POLICE CAPTURED THE SUSPECT ON THE ROAD

As the murders committed in the morning came to light, the Murder Bureau teams of the Adana Police Department took precautions against the possibility of the suspect heading to Osmaniye. The suspect was stopped and detained in the Ceyhan Yılan Kale area. The lifeless bodies of the deceased were also sent to the Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy.
